Increasing numbers of people are finding themselves uninsurable for a typical individual health insurance plan. Unlike group insurance, individual plan companies look at and exclude most preexisting conditions.

Unfortunately many conditons are also a decline, leaving the applicant with only a few choices. Getting a job just for the health benefits or Cover Colorado. CoverColorado.org is the State's high risk pool for those otherwise uninsurable.

You can check the rates and apply online for coverage if you qualify. By law the rates for Cover Colorado must be at least 150% of the average rates on individual health plans in the state. Being so, many find they qualify but cannot afford it.
